Beyond the Cover - Belief starts from the heart

The first criteria for being a Muslim is to believe that Allah (SWT) is the only God worthy of worship. Before we fast, dress modestly or even say the shahadah, we must believe this. It is the conviction that will help everything else fall into place.

“So, know ˹well, O  Prophet,˺ that there is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Allah.” Q47:19

As we go on a journey of looking into our hearts, the first place to start from is our belief in the Oneness of Allah (SWT). Check your heart for where it has placed Allah (SWT) because how you place Him in your heart is how you will worship Him.
